Silk 2-0 (Braided natural silk) is a braided multifilament surgical suture used for general soft-tissue approximation and ligation.
A braided natural-fibre suture valued above all for its outstanding handling and knot security. Although classed as non-absorbable, silk slowly loses strength in tissue over the long term. Commonly used for ligation and securing drains.
