ETHIBOND® Excel is a braided, polybutylate-coated polyester suture — a non-absorbable choice where high, lasting tensile strength and secure handling are critical.
The polybutylate coating reduces tissue drag and improves handling over uncoated polyester, while the braided polyester core delivers excellent strength and knot security. ETHIBOND does not absorb and is used where permanent reinforcement is required.
It is widely used in cardiovascular surgery (valve and vessel work), tendon repair and other procedures demanding durable, high-strength fixation.
